Colours & Finish

Hot-dip galvanised to prevent corrosion. This is a standard silver metal finish, with no paint or powder coating.

Or have your balcony powder coated for £40 more. Four standard colour options: black, white, anthracite grey, or graphite silver. Or specify any RAL colour of your choice for an extra £25 per balcony.

Included are stainless steel fixings*, touch-up paint and plastic bolt covers to achieve a professional finish.

Sizes

We can supply the exact size you require.

As a guideline, add 300mm to the width of the window or opening. If you have questions about the correct size then we will help you when taking your order.

Balcony Options

Small Platform Balcony
The Parisian is also available as a small platform balcony, ideal for plants. Pricing is according to the width of the balcony and depth of the platform, starting at an extra £750.
*Platform balconies may require additional fixings to those that we supply as standard.

Swing-open option
If you have French windows, or want to be able to open your balcony to bring in furniture, we can provide an swing-open version for an extra £100 per Parisian balcony.

Parisian Pricing

£0.43 per mm up to 2.8m in width, and £0.82 per mm for larger sizes. The pricing tool below has an example range of balcony sizes, but we can supply any specific size you require.

Unlike most of our competitors, there are no other charges. All prices include VAT, fixtures and fittings, bolt covers, and any top-up paint. All major cards accepted – no extra charge for credit card payments.

Build and delivery

Each Parisian balcony is made to order – allow up to 3 weeks for build and delivery. The balcony is delivered to you ready to be fitted.

We are currently delivering items door-to-door ourselves or via agents.
Balcony delivery charges are:
£80 under 2000mm width
£125 from 2000mm to 3000mm width
£200 above 3000mm width (balconies this size we deliver ourselves).

For orders of more than one balcony it will cost considerably less per item.
You are also welcome to collect your balcony from our premises in Rochdale.

• All welds are to BS EN 1011-2.2001.

Your quality guarantee

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the service we provide, simply return the unused goods to us within 2 weeks for an immediate replacement or refund. All balconies are hot-dip galvanised (to BS729) to prevent corrosion. Included are stainless steel fixings, touch-up paint and plastic bolt covers to achieve a professional finish.

A ‘French balcony’ is more commonly known in the UK as a juliet balcony, after the scene from Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet. In France the term balconet or balconette is more commonly used. All are architectural terms to describe a false balcony or railing at the outer plane of a window.

 

OTHER DESIGNS

Galvanization and Powder Coating

Hot Dip Galvanizing offers you long-term protection against rust and corrosion of steel products. Hot dip galvanizing is a process developed to prevent steel from corroding. Before the process can take place, the steel goes through a thorough chemical clean which removes all rust, oil and mill scale from the surface.

When the cleaning solution has been rinsed off, the coating process can begin. The steel is dipped into a bath of molten zinc heated to around 450°C (860°F) before being left to cool in a quench tank. When the cooling process is complete, the zinc coating is then metallurgically bonded to the steel.

Hot dip zinc plating protects the underlying steel from exposure to corrosion from moisture, oxygen, and chemicals. It significantly extends the lifespan of the coated metal, even in the harshest environments. We work with Wedge Group Galvanizing.

Galvanization adds a slight texture to the steel which is lightly buffed and sanded before powder coating however this means it’s impossible to achieve a ‘car bonnet’ finish and you may notice some unevenness under the paint surface. The older ones amongst you might remember the shiny steel mop bucket, these were galvanized! You’ll remember the finish was a little rough and while things have improved over the years, mild steel that has been galvanized is not a perfectly smooth surface.
